Play areas for kids ages 2-5 and 5-12 are available with ramped access. ![]() The Meadowlark Playground, located near the Meadowlark picnic shelter, has paved walkways down tot he wooden playground structure. An elevated overlook, accessed by stairs, is a fun area to watch the kids make their way through the maze. Located nearby is a maze built with chain link fencing with wide aggregate pathways. All playground equipment is on engineered wood fiber (wood mulch) safety surfacing. The playground area for kids ages 5-12 has a large cabled net climber and a rock climbing wall. The playground area for kids ages 2-5 has spinners, spring rockers, a labyrinth, hillside slide and other climbing features. The Adventure Playground, located near the Splash ‘n’ Play spray pad, has p aved walkways that provide access to a large playground. The shade picnic areas near the Spray ‘n’ Play have accessible walkways as well. New accessible picnic tables and grills have been added to shelters within Indian Spring Metropark, along with accessible walkways to the shelters. Pets, bicycles, and running on the trail are prohibited. The trails near the Park Office are flatter with several boardwalk sections. The trails near the EDC are hilly with some slopes. Nature TrailsĪggregate and natural surface nature trails are located near the Environmental Discovery Center (EDC) and Park Office. Dogs are allowed on the trails, but must be on a 6-foot leash at all times. The trailhead is located at the North Meadowlark parking lot. Vault latrines are located along the path near the halfway point on the trail. The paved 8-mile trail has one long hill, with the rest of the trail being relatively flat. Reservations can be made by calling the course, 24, a minimum of 24 hours in advance. Golf CartĪn accessible golf cart is available, when playing a round, at the Indian Springs Metropark golf course.
